You can call it Longhouse-Village-Kampung, but I'd prefer calling it "UMA ARU"

View from Block E.

Captured when assisting my UnCle doing some work in Bakun Township .
Bakun Township is located about 30-45 mins. drive from Asap. From here you can see the Bakun Dam and its greenery surroundings. While on the way to Bakun, you are reminded to drive Carefully as there are many logging truCks and the road is damaged due to heavy load truCks using the road.

The Mountain Behind my LongHouse.

Playground, Football field, etc.

This Instrument is known as "Tuvong" (thu-vong)

Front view of the 'tuvong'.
This instrument is used to attract attention of the village folks. Normally during meeting with the chief or any emergencies such as fire & etc. Can also be used as a musiCal instrument  when performing "Ngajen Aso" ( A type of tradisional danCe)

This is how Bakun look like before the Dam was Build.

Somewhere near "Mejawah"

Kindergarten & Church are just within the "uma aru" compound.
